Are the authorities looking for you or were you alone when you snapped the pictures?

    Nice fish arctic!

    Nice fish Kevin!

PS my FW says I should take lessons from you in your picture taking. I’m not sure what she meant by that.

Actually Brian, we would prefer you just take a picture of your fish, by itself in the bottom of the boat. I am sure you know what I mean by that!

I must be having a bad Monday.

Is it time for Brian’s infamous ‘bathtub’ picture to resurface?

I am no cat guy, but I would agree. I was told it was a flat and to just pick it up, I did Yep it was grinding away at my fingers, until I managed to get my hand a bit deeper in it’s mouth. I have one other pic with it hanging straight down, and less of a grimace on my face

Emover – I have a very similar picture (grimace and all). Everyone who sees it says ‘flathead’ but the way that 12 pounder was destroying my hand told me channel all the way.

Did it talk to you? The channels I catch always have kind words for me.

Those big channels have a lot of biting power! You need to be careful with them… big channels crush clams regularly.. they cant be any less durable than the bones in my fingers!

That is a BIG channel Dave and its nothing to be ashamed of. I would rather catch a channel that size than a flathead of the same size any day of the week! A flathead of that size wont turn anyones head, but a channel will turn everyones head(unless they are on the red).

Next time your fishing partner tells you to put your fingers in its mouth.. look and be sure it doesnt have a forked tail 1st!

Dave’s right there. That’s a much nicer channel than a flat. Although that size flat will turn my head, but you have to consider the source.

Caught on Pool 4 11/19/06 while jigging for walleye with
8# test Stren. Took about 30 minutes to get him to the net.

I would like to make a public apology to Brian for accusing him of being CajunIsland. I know that Brian is much better at stirring the pot than that! I would like to work in CajunIslands line of work though (See profile). Except, I want to be a fitter, not a salesman!

Sorry guys but Daves cat is a flathead. He was in my boat at the time. It may be just the pic he put up.I do know the difference, caught enough of each. Not to burst Daves bubble about being one heck of a channel.

Maybe they are from Toad suck and just got a great deal through a provider out of Fridley.
