It was nice to spend some time with you in person without the use of and electronic aid (email)!
She gave you a bit of a fight didn’t she? But as the Lock Master said “you must be patiant” and it paid off…all 43 big ones.
…and she came just like your locators, gps’s and trolling motors…free shipping and no tax!
Thanks again Wade and Joe!
Wade,
Great Flathead !!!!!
Ron, I really don’t think you replace (avatar) which is obviously an over 5 pound Smallie with a 43 pound Flathead. Maybe a Cat over 55….
I’d leave the Smallie pic on there a little longer. Can’t beat that Fish…
Jack..
No, I’ll have to leave the avatar as is. I don’t want to use a pic where the fish is better-looking than I am!
Any of you guys that haven’t battled a big cat like that, you have got to try it. If you don’t have the equipment or any cattin skills just do what I did. Open up your check book and give Brian K or one of these other Cat guides a call. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
For now, I just hope my back recovers by Saturday. My wife’s making me go fishing for some sissy bass and walleyes again.
Wade…we don’t say

sissy bass and walleyes
’cause it gets the bass and eye guys all upset…
We just say that we’re going fishing for bait!
After a fish like that he won’t be able to handle bass and eyes as his back will still be hurting. VERY nice fish Wade.
Thanks, Bill
I agree with Bill. From now on trying to fish for fish that weigh less than 15 pounds will seem like you are wasting time.
Think of it as putting donuts on your baseball bat when you are in the on-deck circle. The only problem with that analogy is it is more fun in the on-deck circle!

My buddy was a bass guy too. Know what he wants to catch now?
I changed my Avatar this year.
I consider myself a multi-species angler. I can get skunked fishin’ for eyes and bass just as easy as I can while fishin’ for cat.
It was strange going back to bass and eye fishin’. It took a full three days to get that little voice out of my head… “we’re fishing for bait… Oh wow! This one would make great cat bait!!” But I think I’m back to my old self again. The back pain is gone, and mentally I have accepted catching fish under 10 pounds (and can do it with a smile). Yep, this catfishing is life-changing stuff…
Ya know Wade…I was thinking….
T1blonie always out fishes you….the proof is in your photo gallary….
So…next time, you should bring her along…as I would love to stand beside her while she’s being interviewed about her MN’s state record flathead
There’s Flatheads…everything else is just bait!
I hear ya BK. When she fishes for bait, she fishes for BIG bait…
Ya, I think we’ll leave her on shore for now…
You should have a graphite replica made to hang on the wall, that is if the wall is big enough!!!
