There is truth to the rumor–I was there. I’m surprised the photos aren’t up yet

So we can rule Ralph out, since he just said he was there!

Yup, I’ve been very consistent this year…so far. The monkey has become a close friend of mine. I’ll let the person who caught it reveal themselves.

I think it may be because there’s a big one out there just waiting to be caught by you and all the other flats know it???

I’ll personally be happy to break 20lbs this year. The time is now, so I’ll be out this weekend at some point. I might try that creek to for bullheads and see if I can get easy bait there. I’d think Long Lake for us north guys would be a good resource, but I haven’t fished that in a while. Otherwise I may just hit Moore’s. I need some no rolls anyway.

There is truth to it! I was also there to witness it and also belive it been the hot stick the last few times down the the river also I thought about switching rods when no one was looking! But that would have ment putting my pizza and beverage down

    Nice catch ther FS!

Was it a nice slow…hit or a fast and furious one?

I’m planning on having a full week report up on Sat or more likely Sunday.

Well.. I had to yell at Ryan NOT to set the hook when Sherry was running for the rod(she was getting something from vehicle).

Im not sure if Ryan seen the bite, or seen the smoke coming from the reel? I was a long distance away and I could see the rod and that fish was moving.

That was pretty funny too because you just told me a bit earlier they usually hit when your busy and not watching your rod and sure enough it happens to Sheri

    Thanks, everyone.

Nope. Not yet, Gary. He had that one run that I missed the other day. He’ll get one eventually.

Didn’t want her to get spooled while she was busy talking I would have gladly landed it for her

No flatsheads up that way PB, just those sumo channels.

Mpls St Paul is the furthest north range for flatheads…I guess the go a little further north on the Croix.

Send Fisher Sherry your email ad in a PM…I’m sure she’ll send you an undoctored photo…and you’ll understand why.

I see a bite mark on the back…I didn’t know that you liked sushi.Better cooked with beer batter, or shore lunch mix. Great catch sherry tell dave to catch the big daddy catfish and post it.

    Nice fish, Sherry.

Well, I think you have lit a fire under just about everyone else. I got my first two St Croix flatheads this week but they were itty bitty ones.
BUT! Where there are little ones there are bound to be BIG ones.
I’m out to better your mark this week – good luck and good hunting!!

That’s ok, Bob. Just a little beginner’s luck is all that was. No need to be sorry.
