    Anyone going out tonight?

With the unsettled weather and too much on the honey do list…I’m thinking it’s going to be a good night!

I’ll be out shore fishing for channels tonight. I’ll let you guys know what I catch.

Should be decent unless this rumor of a storm is true.

I think I’m gonna creep out tonight before work for some flathead action. I haven’t even tried for them for at least 2 weeks.

Make us proud Manny. It’s been a while for me too. It’s a lot harder fitting it in the schedule this year. I hang over and chill in the air kept me home on Sunday evening. It’s funny how Sunday seems like such a perfect evening to go on a Wednesday. Sunday rolls around and

No fishing for me tonight.. I though about it, but pretty worn out from being a 2 day tour guide for Sherry’s family in from out of state! It was an enjoyable, good, event filled visit.. but I think it would have taken less energy to drop them off back at home.. in Pennsylvania!

I made it out…and thanks to Tuck and Wallerbass, put me on the HOT SPOT. Less than 10 minutes after I anchored…I was into the monster of the night…might have made 3 lbs.

It was a beautiful night…best of the year…so far.

    Congrats on your “monster” fish

At least you got out. Took the family bait fishing at one of my more kid-friendly bullhead holes and all we could catch were plump, juicy green sunnies mostly in the 4″-7″ range . Not a bullhead to be seen. Spent too much time at that particular spot (kids were having fun!) and rather than hitting some other more reliable bait holes, just ended up calling it a night.

If we manage to dodge severe weather this evening, I think I’ll give it a go later on, like 11pm-2am or something like that.

The water temp in the main channel was 65.9, skeeters were thick, fire flies showing up in numbers, bait fish surfacing, june bugs are popping out all over at home and only needed a light jacket for the ride home.

    It’s time!…er…I mean it’s time Friday!

How can you forget about Junebugs!?!?
Well… I guess if you don’t have cats it might be an easy oversite.
My front door screen will barely stay up after 23lb Scout (my fat horse cat). Launched up at a Jbug buzzing on the on the outside screen. Quite the site. Now I fully understand why he doesnt come and go off the deck like the other cat (Boo)
Can you say BIG CAT SPLAT.
Hoo booys, Friday should be a good one for us.
    thanks

    Struck out!

Just as the prime time was arriving…so did the lightning. Boats, water and lightening don’t mix with me…

I was home by 10:30… Just to give my favorite wife a hug…well, that’s what I told her…

Good luck on Friday guys…I won’t get out until Sat.

We had 6 or 7 runs tonight on super plump 7″ bullies and 8″ suckers.. managed to hook up on 0

We had 2 decent bites on cut bait.. managed to hook 0

I’m fishing tomorrow night and I am not leaving until someone hooks into a respectable fish(anything without scales) from one, or various flathead locations.

If I dont catch a cat by sunrise tomorrow night(saturday morning).. and I fish tomorrow night as planned without any unforseen disasters.. I will tie a spinnerbait on my cat rod and go catch a b@ss for punishment.

Dave, how late did you guys stay out? It was looking wicked to the North when I left, but it seemed to fizzle after that passed through. Maybe I should have waited it out?

Good luck this weekend to all!
