With a surface temp of 61 degrees tonight…rumors are flying around in text messages that the flats are turning on.

Mostly smaller ones…although I had big momma on for a while until she figured out she was hooked

But a fish story without a picture…is just a fish story.

Things are looking good for Monday night’s IDA Midnight weigh in!

    Turning *one* ?

Well.. 3 of the fish I saw tonight were pretty darn young/small.. 1? I dont think so, probably 2!

Hanson managed not to break off on one fish that hit the double digits.. it wasnt put on a scale but it was an easy eyeball weigh at 10-12 pounds.

Brian! I can’t believe you would go back and ruin my new Walleye hole by putting the bottom feeding crap fish in there! That’s it………Your no longer my Walleye guide!

Don’t fret Chap…I haven’t been back to the “bait” hole since you and I were there. I switched to a new hole on Friday night….

    Short Quicktime video~ click here

and now have moved to a new location.

If I would have remembered to put tape back in my video camera…I would have some footage of the power of a flat…this morning…

Thanks for the video, now I am going to have nightmares! Not sure which was scarier, that slimy, scaly bronze thing with glowing eyes or the walleye!

    Was that too predictable?
