And I still plan to if they would ever start biting!!!!

Just had to make sure you’re all still awake out there. Things have been pretty quiet around here these last few days.

How’s everyone doing? Any Flathead sitings yet?? They have to be getting hungry soon!

    That hurt…but not for long…

Fixed the lawn mower, mowed the lawn…weed wacked it…washed the boat…did poop patrol…spread some DANDY LOIN killer…burn some scrape wood ….AND took a little nap…spelled N-I-P…

    Tonights the night!

I just hooked up the boat and I’m heading out the door. Water on the St Croix is still going up. I’m going to try a few new spots and see how they work out. Good Luck Tonight.

I thought I had the first one tonight. Bullhead came back with some sandpaper marks. It was a new spot and I lost 3 rigs in 1.5 hours. I am fairly sure one was another bite and possibly a third. For all I know, they may have been channels or walleye. (BrianK claims that bullheads are killer for Walleyes!)

This has happened quite a few times over the last 2 weeks. Been gooding good hits and short runs even on live suckers but haven’t been able to connect. A couple of the suckers have come back with obvious “chomp” marks on them.

My guess is big channel cats are hitting them right now. We’ve caught some dandy channels lately including a 15 pounder by FD.
