    Can you believe this guy?

2 Walleyes over 27″ in less than 1 week. What’s going on??

I watched in amazement as Briank pulled in this 27 1/2 incher weighing 7 1/2 pounds on a chunk of cut redhorse sucker, circle hook, 4 oz No-Roll sinker, and 80lb Power Pro. Finesse fishing walleyes is waaaaayyy overrated!!

    Nice Fish Brian!

    Nice sewer trout Briank

Do not take any from those eye guys, A 27 and a 29 is bigger than most of them will catch this year.

Mealy (aka Brink) are you falling off the wagon again?
Are you fishing for Green carp again? The last time a guy fell off the Catwagon and started to fish with wallnutters again C/A and I had to get him some professional help. (it did not work)Then he disapeared and followed Tony Dean across the Dakotas for 2 years, selling Tie Dyed Tee shirts and Oregano from his 1969 VW Bug.(but it appears that icatchsmallcats is ready to come back to the fold and claim he’s a cat guy again)
Just stay away from Dakota and no more Saturday morning T.V. o.k. Brink.
    see ya,

I think it just goes to show you that those things are easy to catch. Tell us this BK, have you ever cought say a lowly carp on a cut sucker*? Hmm, what does that tell you about Walleye.

Technically that is a golden carp, is it not? That refers to the color, not the value folks. I believe I am holding a green carp in my avatar.

*If you have caught carp on cut sucker, keep it to yourself. It kind of ruins my point.

You guys wanna’ know what has me confused about all this anti-walleye talk?

When I catch a big catfish, I throw the damn thing back. Clean the glob of snot off my line, boat and net and get back to fishing. No pictures. No story about it the next day on IDA. I do look around to see if anyone saw me catch it. If they did I offer to buy them a beer back at the resort in exchange for their silence.

When you anti-walleye “cat guys” catch a walleye, you take pictures and spend a good chunk of the next day talking on the internet about how much you don’t like them.

I ain’t buying it. Not one darn bit.

Ditto, and then they blur out the background as to not let on to their secret ‘eye’ spot.

With all that said, good job on a nice fish.

James and Calvin, I am on your side as well. I think these guys talk more about their green carp than their cats. Wouldn’t you agree? Love2Fish.

Normally…I just cut the line…but with 25 feet of Power Pro..that’s like throwing a fish back with a stringer attached… and that would be wrong…even with a bass…;)

..and Hanson got kinda excited…so I thought I would humor him.

As far as talking about it the next day..well, it was either this or the stadium.

I’ll take any fish over the stadium or golf…anyday. By the way…where are you today Hanson??? “Four!”

Ps Hanson wouldn’t let me take a photo of his channel kitty… Then we were chased off by lightening…

So let me see if I have this straight …….You toss out a Eye fishing for Flatty’s, A warden pulls up and you start yelling (looky what I caught on cut bait)

    Sounds like it should work!

Hey, Brian – I read all that stuff that James said but here he is lurking on the cat forum trying to figure out how and where you caught that funny looking fish. I’ve caught 3 walleyes on cut sucker this year too – mine were little 16″ Croix walleyes but I think we may have broke the code on catching those darn things. They really ski in nice on 65# HiVis PowerPro – you can catch a bucketful between channel cat bites. You wanna make a “Walleye How To” video – we could sell a bunch to these catfish forum lurkers.
