How much does one can of beer weigh?

Not enough According to my calculations, 1 beer is about 3/4 lb

Really, my calculations were far less. I guess I shouldn’t drink the beer before weighing them

Yeah, beer wouldn’t work. The bucket would just get lighter and lighter I’ll need to put in something that I won’t want to drink. Mississippi water should fit the bill.

Hey Ralph – If you get concerned about a fish pulling your bucket in here is something I used for a while with mine. I carried a tent peg with a short piece of rope. I would loop the rope on the bucket handle and peg it into the ground next to the bucket. I did that the first couple of times I used the bucket but I never had anything come close to pulling the bucket over so I quit using the tent peg. Sometimes it got tough to put the peg in the ground and it just got to be a pain in the butt. With my Atwood rod holders I can lock the rod into the holder and nothing is going to take them out unless they take the bucket and all.

You guys will get a kick out of the rod holders my dad built for me. I’ll bring them down with me. There made out of stainless steel and heavy duty. We use them while camping out on the river and needed something strong. Plus he gets the material for the right price The olny downfall is there weight and the rocks but we mainly camp on sandy areas. Steve the bucket brings some new light for fishing areas of rocky riprap. Thank you sir !!
