I went back in the archive and last year the St Croix was open above Stillwater on 31 March. I don’t know about the rest of your guys but I am getting antsy. If we get a nice warm March I may get the boat out a little earlier than last year and hit the Hastings Dam for some channels.

The earliest my dad ever caught gills on his fly rod was March 22…do you think we could have a spring like that again?
Steve, Are we gonna do some recon above the high bridge this year and find some new spots? I cant imagine that area gets any pressure and should be some hogs just waiting for some bullies

Comanchero, It seems as though the last 11 years the main channel on the MN side of the bridge breakes up within a week of St. Patties day every year like clock work.
