I noticed that alot of the guys who have been posting here haven’t posted in awhile. Where did you guys go? Briank asked me to go out fishing with him for a night sometime next year and if I’m going to kick his I really need you guys help. I’m not a cat fisherman so I have alot to learn. Keep postin guys cause ”Your” info that you guys post is needed not only by me but by everyone else too. You guys have surely been missed by all.

    Thanks, Bill

PS. Please feel free to keep picking on him ALL YOU WANT!

Well Bill, I for one have pretty much decided to not post much about anything on here anymore. It seems I have a target on my name and whatever I post, somebody has to slam me I still lurk, just not going to get in too many more pissing matches, it’s just not worth it. But as far as the cat guys go, I think they go dormant for the winter along with the big kitties

You have to promise me that you will stick around [they are only picking/teasing/havin fun with you like they do Briank] and keep pickin on Briank and sharing about how you catch cats. Everyone has their favorite ways and it won’t be the exact same way as others. But by sharing each of us learn more about catching cats. I have fished for them alittle in the past [15 years ago] catching them on Lake Zumbro with a bobber and hook with worms on it in shallower water. [boy will I get picked on now for catchin em in a sissy way, lol] But hey, you go with what works. I’m sure this won’t be the way Briank will use when we fish together. Stick around and enjoy the fun and remember its only in fun.
    Thanks, Bill

I have never had a problem here on the cat forum , just on all the other forums here. Just wanted to clear that up

There are other forums in here?

Myself.. I’ve been in the duck blind when I can be.. did a little sturgeon fishing.. and even a couple walleye have been on the end of my line in the evening hours in a couple short trips close to home.

I have a couple secret spots that will produce a few more kitties for the open water season.. but I need a few more birds in the freezer.. and an extra paycheck or 3 will help pay the bills(seasonal work).

Cats? .. I think about them every day.. I hope to be somewhere down south from mid Jan to mid Feb floating around in the boat when its 50 degrees hooking into blues!

Fisher Dave, there is rumors going around that there is a world outside of cat fishing…I’m not so sure I believe that…but then I was wrong about the world being flat…

MR. A.M. Watson, I have only one thought on the topic.

If ANY person stops posting because of ANY other person…the person that stops posting…looses and the other wins.

Making friends and sharing info is what it’s all about for me…not just on IDA, but life.

Hope to see you down in PDC again this year…we’ll have to go out and have some Chilie Cheese Fries!

    Well heck!
Good to see someone stirring up them lazy cat guys!
I keep surfing through and nothing to read.
I thought Brian was on vacation or something…….

Well I guess I could add that I did catch a few cats yesterday. Some nice eater sized channels from the Elk River area.
I went smallie fishing but found a little school of cats on the sonar. Had to tag a few for the fryer!
They bit really light but still fought like a cat should!

Dave, send me some warm weather when down south this winter. Much prefer fishing from a boat on soft water with temps in the 50’s than cold frozen water [ice] with freezin temps.

Fishead, what did you catch your cats on? Techniques equipement etc would be great sharing if I could please ask you to do that. [Briank would feed me a line so I couldn’t catch any I’m sure ]

Thanks guys. Since I don’t know much about catfishin how about teaching me by sharing how you each prefer to catch your cats. Would be much appreciated. And if Briank steps in with his 2 cents [ ] please keep him honest for me so he doesn’t try lead me astray. Thanks.

    Thanks, Bill

I’m in North Carolina…the red drum run is on here…it’s like hooking a channel cat on crack. Weather is awesome too…. Sad news though. Last week I broke my 8′ st croix classic cat on a shark. I called st croix…they will sell me a 8′ st croix comp muskie rod for 1/2 price if I send in a section of my broken rod..lesson learned…salt water fish F-up fresh water gear. Any one want to buy my 20′ nova jon with a 115 evinrude??? It is the ultimate catting boat

Bill, if you want to outfish Brian, all you need to do is bring some shad for bait and don’t share it with him.
Oh, and use 20lb mono. It will drive him nuts.

P.S. When he’s not looking, jerk his line real hard so his sucker comes off. It’s real easy to do with PowerPro.

Hey Brian, you sure have a very bad sunburn. Didn’t your mother ever teach you to wear pants when you are outside?

[Couldn’t resist Bud. That sunburn sure is bad though.]

ps. Judging by your new pic I see you combed your hair different. Gotta date with a cat tonight?

    Thanks, Bill
