I have this reel except in the “mushy” edition. The power handle really does make a differance to me. It’s a great channel cat reel although there’s many that use it to flathead fish.

I wish they would keep the catfish reel and get rid of the mushy one!

I noticed these reels are on sale at http://www.catfishconnection.com

Can I just glue a pewter catfish pin to my Wally World Abu Red? and save 30+ bucks.

Taking my twisted up garlic lard premo to see if cats are still where I found them this summer tomorrow. 5-10 lb’r not piggies you catch. I have been seeing a 50 + flathead in my crappie lake though.

The flat in the crappie lake, was that a DNR plant? Just wondering if the DNR is experimenting with flathead to help clean out stunted lakes down there.

    Fox River down there?

Hey brian, where is the carp edition lol, i would love to get my hands on that. Mile high and I went out carp fishing but I left the cat gear at home, carpin is what what me hooked on fishing years ago, but this year I didnt get out as much as I would of liked to still my fav carp set up it my ol shamino 4000 with a little bait holder hook, kinda hard to hold those when you are use to tying 10/0 hooks most of the summer

Hey Carp’n Addict?! Why the rubberlips? Are the neighbors pissing you off again?
Gotta admit, I don’t think I laughed as hard as I did that night we fished the IDA tourney!
Hope you are doing well. Haven’t seen you on any episodes of “Cops” or anything…

mr eye-gouge, how ya been bud neighbors are still the same but i wouldnt waste a perfectly good torpedo (carp) on them. why the rubber lips? awesome fighting fish and have lots of monster sized ones 10 minns from where i live and fighting them on a lighter rod is a hoot….besides those rubber lips reminds me of you …..take that you green carp jigging master
so when are we going to get out again? Ill have my RP ready to roll for the next two weeks, then it goes away for a while for a new paint job and minor repairs from the tornado that rolled though my neighbor a couples weeks ago.

CA? My daughter could have used your Pro last night…she called me crying someplace on 494 (and 100)…didn’t stop crying until she was going up the hill past the ‘sippi bridge by 61. She was saying the the cement barracades were moving in the construction areas.
I figured it must of been bad when she said that she couldn’t get off of 494 because the exit ramps were filled with water…

Another reason to own a River Pro!
