So, I’ve got a buddy from Wisconsin…….and we finally went fishing last night…….and here’s the REPORT
I started the night off right with a fish in the boat by 8:15pm. I was actually waiting on my buddy to get to the landing, so I just set up on the tip of a wingdam (Thanks Matt ) right across from the boat landing while I waited. Threw out one rod with a bullie on it, and within 5 mins it was bending over .
19# before it even got dark
My WI buddy showed up around 8:30 with his bait and we headed out to the next spot…..as we pull up on the closing dam cut spot ( ) we’re greeted by a friendly (or maybe not so friendly) beaver that was not thrilled with our presence. Now, I had read how fish are supposed to get shut off when a beaver is making rucus…but we stayed anyway……GOOD DECSION!!! My buddy haul’s in fish #2 at around 9:15…….on one of his sunfish none the less
21#’s of pure flathead
Unfortunatly the evening went downhill from there……the honey hole didn’t even produce a run last night (although the current has dropped to practically nothing there now )……At 11:30pm my spot light blew up so we called her a night.
Sorry about the big pics
