Does anyone know whats going on with ProCats Magazine other than their credibility going down the drain? By the looks of things they are about to fold. Anyone know the scoop? I feel bad because I thought they had great info and I recommended it to catters. Seeing that their summer issue isn’t out yet and they are not addressing subscribers concerns I would not join unless they offer up an explanation as to whats going on – and their solution to the problem.

I was asked for some articles late last fall.

I wrote a winter article and a summer article and submited them but haven’t heard a word since.

I think the driving force – Tim Scott – has just bit off more than he can chew. He works making furniture about 60+ hours a week and tries to guide and manage the magazine too. They need someone to take over the magazine, or better yet, for Tim to go full-time on the cats and forget that other job. I’ve never seen a word from Denny on the message board, but apparently he’s the one handling some of it too, based on people getting directed to him. All they’d need to do to get back their credibility is get the danged magazine out on time and mail people their hats and hooks. The magazine’s the only reason to join, for the most part, and if they’re coming out with one per 8 months, it just aint cutting it. They either need to stop charging people for it and do it when they please, or get more help.

    Hey guys,
The problems, or problem i should say, has been ‘corrected’.
The new issue is out, the new design is out, we have new management, and new package contents. If you check out our contributors page, you may see a few familiar names too -)
Thanks to everyone for their continued support.

Just wanted to bump this up to say that over the past year the Procats guys have delivered every issue as promissed. It seems the past problems have been fixed.

So has Tim Scott given up that old hobby(making furniture)to take control of the magazine? Procats definatly has a lot of potential. I like to pick up a fishing magazine and not feel as if Im in an advertisment.

Thanks RB for the support you have shown to IDA and your contributions to Procats.

Looks like the Spring 2007 issue is now up on the website.
