    Just shy of 19 pounds. These lake fish really pork out. They don’t have to deal with current. Took a shiner on 8lb test. Nearly lost it in the anchor rope. When I fish walleyes I get cats when I go after cats I get walleyes.

    wow……….thats a dandy!!!!! my roomate’s dad was from your area and fished those lakes. he talks about all the carp and cats he used to catch. i wanted to make a trip down there but i think i would get clostrophobic (sp?) on water without any current!!!

    Mudcat,

    I must admit being born and raised on the Wisconsin River and Mississippi. It felt very strange catting out of current. But this is alright. I am slaying white bass up until dark and then the channels come in. I have been hitting a 10 plus every time out.

    Did you get a chance to measure the lenght??? We have caught a few just over 30″ this year but I didnt get a weight on the them.I figured 12-14lbs but dont know Yours sure looks like a pig though. Nice catch on 8lb test.
