I had a very enjoyable time on the river last night with Mr. Briank. I missed 3 fish (or was it more?) and connected with a baby flat. But it was a beautiful night. The company and conversation was great. And I learned some more about catfishing. I also was able to teach Brian a song about the planets from the show “Blues Clues”

    Thanks again Brian!

No no! Thank you Mr Mom!…er Drew’sDad!

I was kinda waiting for the words to the song…I thought we could all sing it together tonight
How did it go…This tiny bladder…no..wait, that was something else!

It was a truely good night to be out and kind of “last house on the left” type of night…fog…sliver of a moon…but once we figured out that the noises you kept hearing was just my tommy growling, the night went much better…

    We’ll do it again!

What time did you guys get out??? I was down on P3 last night but packed up about 9:30. Didnt look like anyone else was out there. Both pcity launch and hastings were empty.

It sure did turn into a great night after the storm. I olny seen 3 crusers and 1 fishing boat in the hour and half we were in our spot.

We met at the landing at 7:45…yupers she was a quiet on last night!…well that’s until Drews Dad taught me the song…around midnight…

Sang it together all the way back to the launch…

“Oh the sun’s a hot star.
    Mercury is hot too.
    Venus is the brightest planet.
And the Earth is home to me and you.
    Mars is the red one.
    And Jupiter is most wide.
    Saturn’s got those icey rings.
And Uranus spins on its side.
    Neptune is most windy.
    And Pluto is really small…….
We wanted to name the planets and now we named them all!”

PS Joel…don’t feel bad…my dad told me I can’t sing either.

You’re gonna have to change the lyrics to this song because………..dit-dit-dit-taaah……dit-dit-dit-taaah………. THIS JUST IN…….

They’ve located another planet, beyond Pluto, that they believe is up to 1.5x larger than Pluto, revolving around the sun.

Remember the show “ALF”? According to this 80’s sitcom, the name of this planet would be “Dave”. Who knows what we’ll call it…… but I like “Dave”.

Oh! I like that song! Cept… now it will be in my head all night.

I’m glad you guys had a good night. We haven’t been out in a few nights. Dave and hanson are out there right now though, hopefully they do good. I saw them off at the access, since I had to bring Dave his fishing rod.

P.S. Joel does immitations too, Brian.

This is why Tyler LOVES fishing with Joel.

I’m not sure if you meant “he does immitations OF Brian”…or “he does immitations”.

Either way, he was doing an outstanding immitation of a good guy and a fantastic DAD last night!

He DOES immitations… Bert, Ernie, Grover, Big Bird, Spongebob… lol You name it!

A good guy and a fantastic DAD…. He IS that, no need for immitations.

Well Sherry the way my luck usually goes I have lots of time for entertaining 4 year olds when I’m catfishing.

And thank you for the kind words Brian! You sir, however, seem to be nice to everyone, as well as your family……. Except for the exposing your wife to snakes, bats, and other creepy things in the night. But other than that can’t say a bad thing about you!

And since there are now 10 planets I wil add the last line of the song. “And a 10th planet has been discovered.
But they haven’t named it yet.
Which really BLEEPS up the song
    And fills me with regret.”

DD? Have you been talking with Jake…or Catfishgirl? I’ve been called a lot of things, but never a 4 year old!

No Way! I thought all the good cat spots are taken, and the river is overloaded with catfishermen!

It sure did turn into a great night after the storm. I olny seen 3 crusers and 1 fishing boat in the hour and half we were in our spot.

    I had to post this….

…as Joel was landing this cutie…he was chanting the “Little Engine That Could” story…”I think I can, I think I can!!

Sorry buddy, sometimes the bigger fish just aren’t in the cards. But I know from the way you were talking, your 20 lbs personal best is going to be broken this year!

Geez Brian I thought you were kidding when you said I was covering up the fish with my hands! What is the penalty for catching underage flatheads?

And you don’t want to get caught with pictures of them on your hard drive!
