last night i was fishing for panfish under the bridge at goose island park. then i decided, what the heck, i will throw my crankbait. I bought a pack of those Light n strike lures that blink a red light under water. It was getting dark and it really lit up the water. First cast, i was bringing it up From the deepes water and right by the shore something grabbed it. It took off and i was like whoa nelly…I loosened my drag and i was shaking so bad. 3 or 4 minutes and i saw the lure coming up. Then i saw the mouth and im like YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh…….awwww crap

It was a little 4 or 5 pound flathead

Sure put up a great fight though! and it left little balls of slime on my line

That slime on the line is something else isn’t it? Doesn’t come off all that easy either.

Someone once told me that that slime is an antibacterial and if you put it on a cut it will heal faster than if you used aloe.
I tried it once and now I have long wiskers.
