I was happy when I heard Mr. Blacksportsman was escaping from the urban hussle and bussle to fish P3 with me tonight.

We started out at a place so very framiliar and ended the night in a couple places that were new to me. The good thing was that each spot produced a fish or two…although the size isn’t up snuff…but they were bigger than last night.

Manny’s night started off with a slight bump of the rod. He was to only feel the large fish before the 80# leader broke clean…Although we never came close to seeing it…I know it was at least 45 lbs…Right Manny?

Our tackle did much better for the rest of the night..Manny put 4 fish in the boat.

It was good fishing with you buddy…I ‘spose we’ll see you down at Everet’s walking around with a new St Croix rod!

That last fish looks a little red.. is it blushing?

If it is, why is it blushing on that end??

I guess I’m on a *dont need to know basis* over here.

Very nice fish, Manny!! I’m glad to see you guys did well.

We started out last night at our regular spot, where I caught 1 Flathead and 1 Channel… not any real size to them, but they were fish! And the guys didn’t catch anything.

Then we moved to an old spot that we hadn’t fished in awhile, where Ralph ended up catching a pretty nice Channel just as we were packing up to leave. So all was not lost.

Oh… and Dave caught a real nice antique Daredevil.

First off, I’d like to thank Brian once again for the invite. I had a wonderful time chasing flats, swatting skeeters, and chatting with Mr. BK on pool 3. Brian is a thoughtful and gracious host and did everything in his power to ensure a safe and productive outing. I was more than happy with 4 fish in the boat. Just being out on the water with good company was more than enough for me. The fish were a bonus!

And the big one that got away? I dare not speculate on what could’ve been. Aw, what the heck, I’ll agree with Brian. 45 pounds…at least

As a passing thought and an added word in BK’s defense, no overt acts of clonking were witnessed by myself, although there were some strange noises coming from his side of the boat…

Well .. with you catching 4 fish and losing another big fish.. I am guessing he didnt have much to do on his end of the boat.

Nice fish Manny.. too bad the big one figured out a way not to get to the boat.. they do that sometimes.. always next time.

You guy using them sylvania suckers?

Kissing the cats is a old tradition I learned from ol Denise on the red in fargo in my understudy years under the grand master of cattin. Kiss the 1st kitty of the outing and you will have good luck the rest of the night. also prevent cold sores and keeps the skeeters away and memebers of the opposite sex The only reason I keep it up is cause I dont wanna end up like Denise, he stopped doing it, then he started chasing those silly wallnuts again with ol joe zebco
