Is this a good time of the year for Flats??

I was just wondering if the flat put the feed bag on now or are they on the decline as far as the bite goes??
Do the same summer time strategies work?

Last friday the flatheads were still in there summer haunts. Probably the warm weather is fooling them a bit. They should start transitioning shortly, I would think, to their winter areas. I think you can still get em, if you can find them, until the water gets to the low 50’s. Thats my experience anyway. By that time its time for the spinning rods and bucktails to come out anyway. Good luck and post a report if you get out.
