drewsdad… a Catfish virgin no more

    Dave, Tyler, and I had the pleasure of sharing a river bank with drewsdad, BrianK, and Ralph last night. Despite my toothache, we had a good time. There’s nothing better than fishing with friends!
    The night started out slow… drewsdad, Dave, and I all lost a fish or two.
    BUT a couple of fish WERE caught that made for some real excitment. Drewsdad caught his first Channel AND his first Flathead last night… as well as the biggest fish of his life. I was honored to share in this exciting experience with him!!

    Joel’s very first Channel Cat…

    Joel’s very first Flathead… a 20 pounder!

    Later, in the wee hours of the morning, Dave caught a 40.5 lb. Flathead using a new bait (which is another story entirely ).
    I had already left when this one was caught… I’m sure Ralph got a picture though. I will post it as soon as he emails it to me.

    Congrats, Joel! I can’t wait to fish with you again.

    Thanks Sherry it was a hoot! Thanks to Brian, Dave, and Ralph for equipment and advice as well. Thank you Tyler for keeping me entertained between bites. One thing I noticed is I need to start spitting out the chew before getting my picture taken, however

    Congrats on the cats Joel!

    It was a slow night overall but you were treated by the *catfish god* on your catches.

    secret bait? .. I dont have any secrets.
    As Sherry said.. I got a very nice 40.5# later last night… I will get pictures up as soon as I go get them from Ralph.. his internet is down and they are on his camera.

    Congrats Joel! Now you are…well you are something! Not quite a veteran yet! Send those to your brother in law, and tell him we can get out!

    PS: FD, heard you really know how to light up someones….life! Where can I pick up some Sylvania suckers?
