I took a lady friend out for cats last night and we had a blast I was concerned with the night bite being the water came up fast and looked like chocolate milk
First stop was a spot that holds gills and lucky for us they had the feed bag on. This girl made catching bait fun. We did alot of laughing, who would of thought them little critters could be so much fun
With 10 lively gills and dark coming we headed to my favorite cat spot. About 15 minutes after lights out we had one running. With the other lines cleared and ready for battle, swiiiing and a miss Man how could that be, good fast run, oh well baited up and got every thing back out
This is about the time I looked to the front of the boat and noticed Naomi levitating over her seat as the mosquito’s tried to carry her off. I had to apologize again as I explained the mosquito dope was by the sun screen, at home on the work bench
We soon forgot about the biting critters as another rod started screaming out line. As before, we got things ready to do battle. I handed the rod to Naomi and told her to make the sweep. She had contact There was a good fight going on at first then the kitty started to come to the boat. Naomi thought it was almost over I told her to hold on because for some reason cats don’t like me or my boat, no sooner said and things heated up boat side. A little line in alot more out
When we did get the fish netted and Naomi laid eyes on what she caught you couldn’t wipe the smile off her face with a cow pie. Bugs, what bugs 18lbs on my zebco deliar. I think it is time for a new digital scale.
It was our only kitty of the night. We did hit one other spot for a 1/2hr getting one hit. We could see lightning getting closer so we called it a night.
I do believe I have another one hooked on cats
