    Hello,
Just wondering if anyone could direct me to a location of some bullheads to fish for or even buy in southwest wisconsin area? I do not need a lot. Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks for the info. You can pm if you would like as well. Thanks, Jeweler

    Jeweler,

Why do you want Bullheads? They can be a blast to catch but they eat about as well as wet toilet tissue soaked in catfish slime. I had a friend tell me that bullheads caught in the early spring don’t get mushy and he fried me some up just to prove his point but I still thought they were terrible.

I know that the pond in the Lancaster park used to have bullheads in it but it has been a few years since I was up there. I have heard that Yellowstone Lake near Darlington has bullheads and I am sure there are several farm ponds full of them as well. Blackhawk Lake just north of Cobb has bullheads. The lakes in Governor Dodge State Park would probably have bullheads as well. There is Lake Joy (private) north of Belmond which used to have bullheads but it has been 20 years since I fished there.
