Just bought 50 True Turn Catfish 6/0 hooks, and 25 Bass Pro (Cat Pro) heavy 8/0 bait holders. Saweeet! Went through the Bass Pro in Springfield MO yesterday. I hope I can get them on the plane! Picked up a 50 pound Rapala Digital scale for $9.99. I had the same one in my hands at Cabelas last week for $20. They have some really sweet cat toys in there. They had a number of vacuum sealed baits like shad, crawfish, frogs, etc. Rods and reels like we never see up here. I could have gotten into real trouble if I didn’t have to worry about fitting them on a CRJ for the trip home!

I bought one of those scales. Brother in law wanted me to weigh his dogfish…tried to weigh it without bringing it in the boat.

$20 is laying on the bottom of the Vermillion river…never got to use it

    You got a good price!

PS Don’t pay anything for stink bait! I get mine free from Putz…. Just don’t talk nasty about F150’s

Those scales are pretty good…I got the 50 and a 10. I’m just worried about what I’m gonna do when I finally do get that 50 plus! The bigger ones that are considered “accurate” are purdy spendy.

Hey Brian, I have a 150. I also love Lutefisk! Can we still be friends?

If it is anything like my Berkeley digital scale, it will read over 50 lbs, though it’s only rated to fifty. It’s possible it might break, but it’s worth the risk to me know how big your fish really was if you get one that big. Messing around I have had my 50lb scale up to 75 lbs and it is still accurate. I don’t know how bad it is for the scale. It might be just fine up to 100lbs.

Up to my [censored] in soiled diapers. It is hard to make a two hour drive with two newborns in the house. I might have to change my handle to toothycritterkev as I can fish those buggers right here in town.

The wife is a real trooper. They are sleeping from 11 or midnight to 5 or 6 which is much better than every two hours as it was.
