The picture below is a buddy holding a 17.8 lb flathead that he caught this weekend. He caught this boy on a live creek chub about 4 inches long. He wasn’t in a deep hole either. I didn’t even bring live bait with me this weekend because I thought flatheads wouldn’t be out of their wintering holes yet. He also caught another one that I didn’t take a picture of it only weight about 3 lbs. I guess I should start throwing some live bait out. What is your guys opinion on this. The water has been around the 43 deg mark for a while. Usually I wait for it to hit 50deg.
