I got tired of searching the net and coming up with nothing…so I thought I would giver ‘er a try here.

I’m going to be spending three days in Kansas City MO on March 29th. I would prefer not to drive more than an hour…but will consider.

Does anyone know of a good cat guide on the MO river, Blues?

I can’t seem to locate one that fishes the river close to the city.

I thank you for your help!

That’s what I like about this site. You can point someone in the right direction and post a link to another site. I used to belong to the BOC but a guy was looking for catfishing info for the Minnesota area and I gave him reference to FM. I would have also mentioned this site but I didn’t know about it. Well, they had a big hissy fit about that and banned me…Not real catmen who run it in my opinion …. Just the same old “I’m better than you” BS.

Hey Brian, Good Luck and take notes! I want to check out that portion of the Missouri too sometime. I think I’m gonna at least get out to Yankton or Soiux City this summer anyway.

Brian, check this guy out. Rick Gebhardt in Glasgow, MO. He is about 80 miles East of Kansas City and guides on the Missouri River. http://www.catfishadventures.com/

P.S. If you drive 80, it’s only an hour away!

Thanks Mile, I’ll check him out.

The BOC responded (I didn’t want to sign up)

I am sorry we do not post on the BOC about guides here, we do not support them on this site at this time. but your more then welcome to post in the KC and MO section of the BOC and I am sure at no cost you will be able to have some of the BOC members help you. Sorry we could not help you further.

I thought that was odd…but then most people may think it’s odd that I didn’t want to sign up…too.

    Worth a try though!

We just don’t have much in common with most of those boys. You know your in the BOC when……You consider a six-pack and a bug-zapper high-quality entertainment.Your front porch collapses and more than six dogs are killed. Ok, Ok, That’s not nice..Sorry.

Brian, You could always get the map out and explore…I love doing that…course you won’t have a boat but a lot of times you don’t need one.

Are you saying that when you divorce your wife…she’s still your mother?

I’m getting the feeling you don’t care for that site much Dark. Just a first impression. I didn’t check it out much since my high speed access here is …well not exactly HS.

I won’t have any equipment…just a smile and a camera. This makes it hard with the time that I have. I thought I could talk my company into letting me go 2 days early…but that didn’t fly.. <sigh>

Sometimes things work…and sometimes they don’t I guess. Just have to get home to the channels if nothing else works out.

I didn’t know that dark. I have talked to people that have been banned from there and most of them are good people. Most of them are good people that catch big fish! They kick off people with talent because it is threatening. If you ever make it to the catfishmessageboard, they really hate em there. The BOC isn’t about fishin, it is about dollar$. Unfortunately they kick off talented people and at that point the blind are leading the naked.

Some day I want to get gottheblues(chris harris) to take me out. Or just meet robby robinson for a while.
