The warmest water I have found so far has been under 75 degrees. I don’t think that it is a problem yet. How warm does it have to be before the cats leave an area? Or does it just have to do with O2 sat?

A catfish’s metabolism peaks in the mid 80s.The warmer the water gets the more the bite is on.If you notice a decline in the bite in the mid 70’s that is because they have begun the spawn. This will shut down the bite for up to a couple weeks. When the water gets into the upper 70s and into the 80s you will find most of the fish feeding in the current.
