Fished the Nekoosa area (Wisconsin River) this weekend. We caught alot of channel catfish in the 3 to 5 pound range. The bite we expierienced was mainly one hour before sunset up to an hour after sunset. Fished below the dam in approximated 3 to 4 feet of water. Most of our fish came on dip baits. Did manage to boat 3 smallies when we tried nightcrawlers on bottom. I noticed the two bigger ones (about 16 inchers) looked like they were about to spawn. I would have thought they would have spawned by now.
