I am going to try for some cats this weekend. How would a guy go about fishing them, deep, shallow, channel, slough, bait? Just need a little info, taking my godson out and hope he can catch something to bring home. Thanks.

I don’t fish 12 (if anyone wants to show me how….), but with the flow as high as it is, you might try the Cassville slough on 11.

If you just want something to tug the line, you could try using chicken liver for bait. It’s stinky and little fiddlers will drive you nuts, but it does catch fish. If you want some bigger fish, you might try a small sucker or chub and a lot of people smash them with their shoe before they cast them out.
