    Dream on!

Matt (FlatheadWI) had the post “guess my weight”…well here’s another one. But I’ll tell you what (the author) says the weight is. I have no way to verify the accuracy…BUT, it sure don’t look like 57 lbs to me! Healthy fish for sure…but I’m thinking in the mid to upper 30’s…

What do ya think? Is it just the camera angle?

I ‘spose it could have an anchor in that gut

I don’t know, it looks like that fish has 20# of head alone, and one fat gut! I caught a 30# last year, was not that big!

Obviously, that one is not going back in to swim again (no judgement). What do you suppose an old-timer like that would taste like? I like a nice channel – 3 to 5 lbs and I’ve had really tasty smaller flatheads but I wonder what a piece of that beast would taste like?

he could be at the river bank……so it might be realeased….

but i think its over 30…….look at the head and gut size. its HUGE………….and the fish is like a football. no lenght, just girth.

Taste, not good. But not having any idea of the weight it could have been released. Anyway, it is clearly over 40 lbs and perhaps more.
