    does anyone no what the wis. dnrs laws say about casting nets for getting bait and rough fish?

    Hey Smokey – Here is the Wisconsin fishing regulation that spells out the use of cast nets on MN/WI Boundary Waters: http://dnr.wi.gov/org/water/fhp/fish/regulations/2004/documents/spearing04.pdf

    Basically this regulation says that it is legal to use cast nets on MN/WI and MN/IA boundary waters. It specifically states: Cast nets no larger than 7 feet in diameter or mesh more than 1/2″ stretch measure may be used to take minnows.
