Hey do any of you use those super cheap King Kat poles, I think they are like 25 bucks at Cabelas. I have been trying one out this summer and I think I like it better than my heavy musky rods. It has proved durable, and even works very well for Musky Trolling. It is white and you can see it very well at night. I was worried it wouldn’t have enough back bone for hook sets but it hasn’t been a problem. I would like to hear any horror stories if there are any.

No horror stories here. I think its a great rod for the price.

They work awesome. Ive got Sturgeon, Catfish, Carp everything in a river with it. The reel is still good after two years, and when fitted with some heavy line, you got one good pole.

i,ve got 2 of them and they work great but i would not recommend the king cat pro they don,t take the abuse that well.for 30 bucks shakespear tidewater reels work pretty slick.
