Went out tonight with the nephew – he’s already a flathead-head. His best as of yesterday was 28lbs, which he caught last year. As of tonight it’s now 37! Doing well for a 12 year old. He was excited as heck – so was I. Had two other hits, one of which was a seven pounder and one unknown that took the bait up under the boat before even showing he had it – didn’t get a hookset on him. That biggun was fiesty – he got in the wood once but the boy kept his cool and got him out. He had a ton of energy at boatside, which was cool, but made me try twice to land him before I got serious and two-handed him. My hands are crying out for gloves – see the other thread!
