when I set the hook, but fun none the less. How much do you think she weighs? No measurements. For reference, I’m 6’1.

    Nice one Drew!

She’s a long one! I would put her in the 40ish range +/- 5 pounds.

    Shad Rap?

    PS I know that spot!!

Dang it! It took me over 5 minutes to block out all identifying markers. Someone showed me that spot, so I thought that I would keep it private.

I was pleasantly surprised that my 6’8″ Avid held up. The power of those fish is absolutely amazing! When I set the hook and it felt like I set it into a log, I was like uh-oh here we go. At one point JasonP asked, “how much line do you have on that reel, do we have to chase it”? I had to think about when I re-spooled last. You chase a fun fish BK.

Hi, need the experts to weigh in.

After receiving the photo this AM and no measurement, bragging rights came into question. Drew and I need to settle a family dispute about who has caught the biggest catfish while fishing for eyes.

There is a Guinness in it for me tomorrow night if mine is bigger.

We have the length of mine but for now will keep to ourselves until after the bets are made.

I think mine looks longer, but your’s looks more chunky. It’ll be a tight one!

I’d say the Guinness goes to gonefishin for the proper holding of that big girl

Drew’s fish “expelled” some of the previous days vittles onto the floor of his brand spankin’ new boat. If we count the weight before she released I think Drew wins.
