Was looking at some old Fishing Hot Spots maps and info on pools 16 and pool 17…
Curious, anyone has spent any time fishing on pool 17? Or better yet pools 16 and 17?
I was thinking of the areas around Blanchard and Barkis islands on the IL side. Seems like there might be some flathead potential there, guess it’s fairly similar to the middle section of pool 16.
Being in a less populated area than the Quad City pools, seems like it might be a little less frequented (although my drive is about 40 minutes further than pool 16). Might be one of those “six of one versus half a dozen of another” propositions…
