    Hey Catters,

These past two weeks with some of the wamer temps and longer days has started to get the channel cats feeding aggressively on the Mississippi River near Red Wing, MN. 25′ of water behind any current obstruction or bend in the river to get these fish out of the current has been the location to be looking for and these fish are PUNISHING hair jigs tipped with minnows as well as rignworms. If I spend any time in these areas I’m able to pull channel cats nearly at will… just thought I’d let all you catters know that the your first spring channel cat encounter might not be far off!

10? 12? Beats me. Somewhere in that area +/- would be close I guess. Never weighed it. We do catch them sporadically throughout the winter but now they are just pounding baits vs. getting snagged or just grabbing and hanging on. Fun stuff. Only wished they fought as well as a big walleye does with the water this cool. Oh well.

Hey James, check the tires on your trailer, I think they are a little low . Just remember, this spring on one of your guide trips, when your boat starts smelling so bad you cant take it, but you just cant locate the smell….it wasn’t me . Walleyes fighting harder than a channel cat…..whata guy!!

James…the ‘sippi cat board is a much softer and gentler cat board.

Post the same thing on the Red River board and hold on to your tush!

Hey? Were you by the Ford Dam Saturday morning.

    James,

I agree but it was after careful calculations, we decided that if we started giving you a hard time about your comment then you would start bring all those silly wallnutters over here , wallnutters are pack animals, one on one, not bad, but you get 10 of them around and nothing but troubles
Wait a minn, I think the pieces coming together here, ICSS goes MIA and James the “iliketocatchsmallwallnutsbecausecatsaretoostrongforme”
is showing up in cat forum. Dennis & James are in redwing pitching jiggs over wingdams

Here’s a nice cat a angler caught on the mighty old Miss the other day.

very nice picture & beautiful fish….I noticed the angler was holding the kitty in a very odd position? I would venture the guess he is a wallnutter and was afraid to put his hands in the mouth

Personally, I think Catten Addict should be lipped.

I mean that in the nicest possable way….

I’ve printed that baby out and covered my wife’s picture next to the bed.
    Come one warmer water!
