Made it to Nekoosa today with bigtroy for some walleyes. The water is down but the current is ripping pretty good as is the case below Petenwell. We started out in deeper water rigging and jigging with quite a few short walleyes for our efforts. Decided to make a move and try some shallow water current seams. We managed to pull three slot fish out of the shallow seams along with more short fish. No keepers on this day but still some good tugs. Water temp reached 37 today. Fish are still in pre spawn mode. Here is me with a 22 inch slot fish.
