Pulled minnows and plastics with the trolling motor below Petenwell dam today. Just a basic split shot and hook combo and 1/8th and ringworm combo. Most fish came on rosie reds. Plastics were ignored for the most part. Best depths seemed to be from 20 to 25. Caught at least 50 fish today with only three being keepers and no slot fish. Water is very low and not much current to speak of.

Good way to start the open water season. 3 out of 50 sure beats the 1 for 100+. Many boats out there??

I would say 10 boats at the most up by the dam. Seemed like everybody was catching fish just no size yet. Probably try up by the tressel sometime this week.

I’m going to try the pete tomorrow. Hopefully some crappie redemption.
