Headed to Castle Rock today which is a flowage of the Wisconsin River. Trolled two boards and a flat line. The baits of choice today were number 6 flicker shads in various colors. Set the cranks 25′ to 30′ back over 8′ to 13′ of water. First fish was a 25 inch slot and my second was a 21 inch slot. Followed by a bunch of dinks and a decent keeper size lost at the boat. Also caught a nice 13″ crappie on a craw pattern flicker shad. The bite wasn’t fast and furious but it kept me busy enough.
