Is it possible to remove the arm rests on the the captains seat? Also is there a way to fold this seat down while traveling? Thanks

Why in the world would you want the arms off? I don’t think you can fold them. I can’t on my Lund.

Never use the arm rests. Chair is just a bit bulky for my liking

Offer it for trade. I know a guy who would likely be interested.

Speaking of casting seats, I just want to show you guys what I dicovered the other day. I am a little taller guy – 6’3″, and the Alumacraft pro casting seat when fully extended up is still just a bit to short for me. I found this extension peice on Springfields website and it works perfectly for adding a few inched to the post. I have no clue if this was the intention for this part, but it works exactly like I thought it would…Just passing the info along!

I’m with you Dave. The captains chair is poorly designed. The arm rests are just too high. If I rest my elbows on them I have to lift my shoulders up significantly, not comfortable in the least. I think they designed it for those that are 6’5″ and up, not us normal people. If I sat on a telephone book it might work?
