Can’t Taste

Swine flu was the sickest I have ever been in my life. I was knocked out for almost a week.

All those ads on TV for RX drugs that we see all day every day that have a disclaimer about the side effects at the bottom of the screen. But have you ever seen a disclaimer in an ad for side effects of a government mandated vaccine that they are still trying to sell us?

If you were a government employee, military, etc you had to get the shot or were fired unless you file a religious exemption. My employer followed that guidance even though they are not a government company, but we do sell to the government in a sense. IDK how many people lost their job for it or how many took the religious exemption but I know people did. Its not something we talk about. I didnt take one of the mRNA jabs I got the Johnson and Johnson which is like a traditional vaccine. Centracare here in St Cloud required it for employees and a ton refused and left or were fired. THey are so short staffed in certain areas now. Try getting a GI consult or in to have a colonoscopy. Its over a year wait. My Dr was able to pull some strings and get me in sooner for my colonoscopy, but I need a GI consult and they said “they are no longer taking new patients”. Im like WTF, I have been there before for various different things but a number of years ago. I shouldnt be considered NEW IMO.

I used to work for them and had to get 2 vaccines. The side effects were like a really bad hangover. I actually went home sick one day. Nurses and other staff left in droves and took other jobs. They actually called in the national Guard. Centra Care uppers were seen on Walz daily updates.

I have since left in the last six months and couldn’t be happier. I have noticed a lot of changes as they get bigger and are no longer the same company I signed with a decade ago.

We mandated it. I got a Dr exemption as I am not allowed to get a flue vac either. I know several that lost their job. Now nobody talks about it and it is no longer mandated.

Employers have the legal right to mandate these things and it has held up in court. That isn’t anything new, especially in fields like health care or the military. I’m not saying I necessarily agree with it, I’m just stating the legality of it.

A buddy had that after a bad reaction to a flu shot or something many years ago. He works at Centracare and was VERY nervous because of their mandate to get the shot because it was not pleasant when he got GBS and was told it gets worse each time. He was able to get a Drs exemption I believe.

Good luck with your taste. Wife and I had it in 2020 the 1st go around we both loss our taste it was light turn off a light switch. I go mine back 4 days later again the light switch. My wife still doesn’t have hers back. Sometimes she thinks that she can sense some taste but still thinks that it is just wishful thinking. She has tried just about every home health remedy herb/oils etc remedies vitamin remedies everything that is the latest and greatest Nothing is working for her

I was in my mid to late 30’s paralyzed from neck down for 5 weeks.
It was not from a flu shot but many cases are. Had to learn how to walk again and do everything over again. Sort of off topic.
Sorry to the OP as not being able to taste would suck.

Holy crap Rip! That is terrible thank goodness you are hopefully healed up.

That stinks man! Idk if there are any secret remedies for that but I’m sure it sucks!

I heard way back that some people were using essential oils to kick start their taste buds. I did a quick search and here is the first article I found.

One thing she may want to try is acupuncture. I’ve lost taste due to other medical treatments and that’s one thing that was recommended to me. It’s a long shot but might be worth it.

In the report I linked to earlier, anosmia (loss of smell) resolved in about 2 weeks after using a nicotine patch.

Initially I read that as Nicotine POUCHES would improve your smell, and if that was the case I’d be able to smell from here to China right now.

She had a religious exemption. My previous post was about employees who do not have a religious or medical exemption. I may have failed to clarify that.

OK, yeah I didnt see it, but that makes sense.

I get a chuckle out of people who cry about the unknown potential side affects of the vaccines… yet at the same time, these same guys are smoking, drinking, and eating high fat processed foods DAILY while never exercising, all things which are KNOWN to be slowly killing them and they easily turn a blind eye to it. Irony FTW
