Anybody install cannon electric downrigger ports in a wx2200? Just looking mine over and trying to figure out where I am going to put mine.

I installed a couple on my boat. It is not a skeeter, but may give you an idea. The first side I installed a little too low, but it works fine. FYI put die electric grease on the plugs. One of mine tore the male end of the plug wire off when I unplugged it on LOTW last summer. Had to cut the end off and push the wires in the female end for the rest of the trip.

We have done several. I would say everyone mounts a bit different location based on where and how far back they put there down rigger bases and to keep the wires clean.

Just wanted to follow up on the location. Wanted the wires out of the way to open the compartments. Then didn’t want them all the way back on the gunwale and on the back deck. Hopefully screamin fish on soon!

Thanks for posting the picture…spent most of the day trying to figure out where to locate my plug. My primary concern is kicking it with my foot (if low) or my knee (if high). Your location looks like the best trade-off
