We just got back from lake winnipeg. Our group of 4 did good big fish was 29″, 28″,27.5,27″ 26″ and a 25.5 along with a good number of fish from 23″ and under. We lost a few big fish also and a monster pike. Our best luck was out in front of the red river mouth in 12-11′ of water from the bottom of the ice the is a good 4′ of ice up there and travel is great right now. Hot baits were #5 ripping rap in blue silver and pink and white glow blade bait from b fishing. I had bought #6 ripping raps and for the most part they didn’t want that big of lure along with the live targets. I did get my big girl on a 6 ripping rap Helsinki color and a few more fish on that color as well. There is a ice heave that is a 1/2 to3/4 mile east of the mouth that had great numbers and size of fish as well. Good luck up there!!!
