Heading to Lac Seul this summer. I know none of the lakes in Ontario are accurately charted but…. I have a Gen 4 Hbird Helix 10. Looking for chip recommendations.
    Thanks

Buy the lakemaster Canada chip, then also purchase the auto chart live SD card and learn how to use it. Map the areas as you fish them. It works great! If you pay attention and set your depth colors up the chip will keep you out of trouble, and maybe find good spots. Good luck!

Make sure you have both sets of satellites working on your units as well.

Thanks for the generous offer Don. I went out and bought a chip before I read your post.

#1 priority on Lac Suel is to have a really good insurance policy. The lake would have cost me $4000+ if I didn’t. Odds are way above avg. for hitting big rocks!!! The fishing is great but I lost interest after that incident!! Good Luck!!!

I feel your pain Slowpoke. I have been going to Lac Seul on and off for years now. The guys I go with have been running that lake without incident for 15 or more years. They stick together and follow routes they have saved on their GPS units. But you never know!!!!
