The only way the pack will lose this game is if they dress up as little kids and ap brings his switch.

I have too agree.
I think it’s going to be a much better game than most would have imagined going back a few weeks.
However. Mistakes and blunders like the Vikes had today will KILL them against the Pack. 2 missed FG’s, Rudolph’s “ouch, that hit me in the hands” TD drop, an almost fumbled punt, etc, etc. The Vikes are just making way, way too many sloppy mistakes and my prediction is that will be their undoing against the Pack.
As I said before, the Pack is a decent team in the totally crappy NFC north. Whatever happens in the Vikes v Packers game is just a rearrangement of the deck chairs on the NFC North Titanic. I wouldn’t be making Superbowl reservations based on what happens next week.

Obviously they can. They need to wake up and bring a desire though. They seemed flat again yesterday until the last 2 drives. Packers should be close to desperation mode and that can make them scary. I think it’s going to be a good close game much like the game at tcf last year
I’ve been a vikings fan way to long to buy into this, the pack will win….
I think it will be a very close game and too close to call. If the Vikes defense is performing to their potential and putting a lot of pressure on Rogers then……..
Of course the other big factor, IMHO, is if they can get the passing game going with Teddy and also get the Oline to actually protect Teddy.
It will be fun to watch thats for sure!
I’ve been a Vikes fan as long as I can remember. All you other fans of the purple know what it’s like, the personal toll. Years ago a tough loss would linger, not anymore. I still rarely miss a game and I get loud and emotional but when it’s over that’s it. Sports are the only true reality tv.
The two games against the Packers every year always bring a little more excitement and the way things have gone the last few weeks this week’s game should be a great contest. We’ll have a house full of people eating chili and drinking beer and getting loud but when it’s over that’s it.
Unfortunately for the Packer backers they’re going to witness their forth straight loss.
Vikings 17, Packers 14
I’ve been a vikings fan way to long to buy into this, the pack will win….
Go back and watch the packers last 3 games, you will rest easy my friend. this is not a very good packer team
As big of a Vikings fan as you will find here. The Pack still have Aaron Rodgers, that alone means the Pack have the chance to win any game at any time.
The Vikings D is awesome though! Linval Joseph…. stud!
The Vikings O-Line… ouch. IMO, the Vikings don’t win either of their last 2 games without AP on the team.
The Vikings are clearly the better team. Rodgers is about to be picking dirt out of his face mask on a regular basis, nobody has been able to protect their QB against the Vikes and the pack will be no different. The packer running game is weak, so we can take passing game away. They just aren’t as good as the Vikings this year, plain and simple
I think the better question is, after the Vikes finally beat a team with a winning record, will we feel the Pack was the most difficult team we’ve faced this year? I mean, for God’s sakes, they couldn’t beat the Lions……at home…..after they missed an extra point…..after recovering an onside kick.
And to think I was criticized at the beginning of the year by Packer fans who doubted my prediction of the Vikings winning the division!
So Pack fans, what’s going on with the Pack? You don’t win 6 straight then lose at home to the Lions. Is there some dissension going on?
Please don’t tell me the commercial with Ditka putting on the Packer sweater is a real jinx.!!

Hate to say it, but the things are not looking up for the Pack. No running game, weak passing game, on and off defense, O-line looks bad lately, Rodgers is off, I’m not sure if they can get all that fixed.
“Go back and watch the packers last 3 games, you will rest easy my friend. this is not a very good packer team”
Go back and watch the vikes for the last 30 years, they are not a very good team. Sure, they will get you to believe and then have 12 on the field or some other blunder headed play.
that’s just a dumb response…. your welcome. Maybe the thread title should have been… Can the Lions beat the Pack ?
I am sticking with Vegas on this and calling it a “pick ’em”
probably going to gives the Vikes a slight edge and I am the biggest packer wonk in the world. not liking what is going on over the last few weeks.
The good news is that for fans of both teams, this will be THE best game of the year. You’ve got the rivalry factor, but then in the background you’ve got the Pack trying to get back on track. Then you’ve got the Vikes with something to prove.
As I said, hate to buzzkill anybody’s fantasies about either of these teams, but the reality is they are both going nowhere even if they do make it to the playoffs. Sorry, but this is the classic case of being a top team in a B league. So as far as the “must watch” fan game for both teams, this is it.

While I don’t think MN is a great team, I can envision MN (or the Packers) in the Superbowl.
I think MN matches up better against Carolina than they do against the Packers. Arizona might be the scariest team in the NFC (or even NFL right now). Heck, w/ Cincy losing to a poor team and NE losing their top WR, who out there is really scary? 1-2 breaks for any of the top 10 teams and they could win it all.
While I don’t think MN is a great team, I can envision MN (or the Packers) in the Superbowl.
Just to clarify, you can envision MN or the Pack in the Superbowl in what year, exactly?
I, too, can envision them in the Superbowl. But upon further mental review, the banner in the stadium says, “Welcome to Superbowl LVIII”.

I wasn’t predicting it, but I wouldn’t be shocked either.
BTW, I think a lot of Vikings will make it to the Superbowl next year when we host it. They just might have to buy their own ticket.
I call B.S. You and Charlie Sheen and all of Dallas is what you were with.
Deb Dallas, don’t forget this is a family website. Kids read these posts. Have your fun but Keep it clean.
Vikes win this one.

Respectfully Jon, there is no clear line or disclaimer on this site about being “family oriented”. At the same time these IS a disclaimer re: politics and religion yet politics are often discussed without the posts being deleted.
I find the blurry lines a tad hypocritical and difficult to judge. I also think censoring rather harmless semi tacky jokes a bit pollyannish. It’s the Internet man, not your living room. Your kids see stuff on Facebook far worse than anything I have ever seen here.
Perhaps we all “wish” there is a place online that is perfect for children but I don’t think it is very realistic. I’m not advocating that we try our hardest to be crass and off color all the time but is a crass joke here and there between sportsmen all that uncommon?
Perhaps a new thread is in order so as not to divert this one much further.
I’m with Jon. Haul the sophomoric humor elsewhere.
You’re missing the point DB. The question really isn’t about tastes in humor, rather the deletion of harmless comedy while passive aggressive racist comments run wild and free just a few posts away!
I respect that some don’t care for certain jokes…fine. Ignore them like you do at work and move along. But don’t say this is a family site as related to some topics while other dangerous conversation happens elsewhere on this site without any interruption whatsoever.
Hey, if the site moderators want to turn this site into Little House on the Prairie, then state those standards on the site somewhere and moderate it evenly across the board. I can live with that. I just can’t stand the double standards.
