So I purchased a couple packs of these at a gas station in Balsam Lake a few years ago, never thought they would be my go to bait last year. I ice fish a spot on the Mississippi where there are a lot of Walleyes but they are EXTREMELY Finicky. This little plastic Produced every day, more so than anything else. I am now down to three and i thought I snapped a pic of the package last year before throwing away, but after scouring through all my images it doesn’t exist. I cant seem to find anything similar, all others seem to be too large or too small. The one in the pic use to be quite a bit brighter but it has some miles on it.

    2″ long
    Pretty Soft plastic
    Glows in the dark…

It looks like a Pintail from Panfish Plastics out of Clayton WI/ They used to sell them at various bait shops around. They have a website called panfish plastics where you can order them or contact Mike.

And do you just nose hook it or do you feed it down the hook?

If you are into fishing for panfish you should check out the Chigger Fry’s they sell.

Those are close but a little shorter, I already bought some. I literally have bought about 6 different brands that are similar but just can’t find the original… bound to be a ghost bait soon haha….
I use the small jig heads that come with mini mites and thread the plastic on. Only downside is the larger fish tend to pop off Easily, but I’d rather lose a fish then never get a bite

I bet if you brought one to the big show this weekend someone could help. I wonder if it’s a first edition version of panfish plastics pintail. I’m sure they could make you some

Go find some of those silicone balls covered in the spikey things at wally world in the pet area. If you can find a couple in colors you like buy them as long as the spikes are an inch or more long and just snip them off and put them in a zip lock to go to the water with you. Crazy good bait on a small jig and the spikes don’t weight enough to mess with balance much.

I twitch it constantly no more than a foot off the bottom
