Haven’t heard much. Anybody go? Seems like the Ripley glory days have maybe fizzled. Curious if anything big was shot or even seen. I tried googling and couldn’t find anything of useful info. I drove past their about 4 weeks ago early morning and saw a pretty good stud by the fence. I’m sure he would scored 170-180 plus.
I have a lot of friends in the area, and most of them have stopped going. One of them that still goes, said he saw a ton of deer including a big 8, but didn’t have a shot.
Second weekend produced 164 deer and there were around 1600 hunters on day 1.
For me it was the same ol’ Ripley with less deer around. I compare it to walleye fishing: In 2001 you could go anywhere in Ripley and see deer,, Kinda like Canada walleye fishing- catch them anywhere. Now Ripley is like walleye fishing a central mn lake,, Some parts of the lake hold fish and others don’t at all. That’s what Ripley is like now.
