the family is looking to rent a cabin in mn. looking for something withing 3 to 3.5 hrs from the rochester area. preferably a smaller lake. Grandpa isnt a fan of big water. there is six of us going. any help is appreciated. thanks

Here’s one in the Brainerd/Nisswa area run by a really nice family. It’s a quiet lake but in a short few minutes you have access to anything you want.
My family has done VRBO / Homeaways and AirBNB’s on an annual basis for a while and had very good luck with them. The trick is booking soon enough to get the dates you want.. this late in the year you may have some challenges depending on what exactly you’re looking for.
