Anybody purchased / use this PFD?

    Comments?

Looks like a pretty good deal.

    Thanks

    Pete

I’d be interested in opinions on this PFD as well — or suggestions for better deals elsewhere. The FW is gonna be updating our safety gear for xmas this year.

Have had one for 3 years. Love it.

Cabela’s has the recharge kit on sale for $14.xx.
It will also fit the Float Tech brands…so if you need a recharge kit, now would be a good time.

I haven’t wore the pfd above but have talked to people that have them. The strap around the midsection keeps the inflatable from riding up and chaffing your neck. There were some that didn’t like that band…but otherwise I haven’t heard anything bad about them.

I have owned one of theses for a few years. I wear it always, but it can be a bit bulky behind the neck especially when the temperatures cool and the layers go on. Otherwise no complaints.

I took advantage of that deal and purchase the camo one. Haven’t used it yet but it looks nice and well designed

I’ve got 3 and they are very comfortable. Especially if you wear them when it’s hot and humid!

I replaced my old Mustang pad with a Cabela’s 3500 last spring. Seems fine.

I certainly hope you aren’t layering up over your auto PFD!

I have two. Thought they would save me space in the boat. Just fold them up and put them in the compartment. Don’t really wear life jackets. Then got stopped by Sheriff on Mississippi at Red Wing and found out that you actually have to have these on to be legal. Make sure you consider that if just wanting to save space

I received one for Christmas last year and I like it. The only time its uncomfortable is when I have a heavy coat on and it feels bulky behind the neck as Art said in another post. Thats a great price.

FWIW; Life jackets/PFD’s are designed to save LIVES not save space. wave
