Ordered Muck boots 3 weeks ago today refunded out of stock even though they are new. Ordered some Korkers polor vortex boots from sportsman’s ware house says they were shipped already Can’t find the boots I want in my size. I know this has been beating a dead horse but 3 weeks called every 3 days. Only reason I bought through them was to use my cabelas bucks other than that never use them. Hope the boots work almost using bread bags with tennis shoes the Mucks I have cracked only 1 year old.

    Yeah, I’m with you.
I still have the club card but I think I’ll will be firing up a new Scheels Credit Card tomorrow when I go there. I’ve been meaning to do so for a while. It’s unfortunate because Cabela’s is not too far from my house and my In-laws live in Owatonna so it’s been convenient to get there. But It’s been a constant string of let-downs since even before Bass Pro took over. I will spend my Cabela’s points that have accumulated over the holiday but I’ll be shutting ‘er down shortly thereafter.

The only challenge with Scheels will be to convince my wife to let me buy outdoor gear with points rather than the kids hockey and baseball stuff.

I ditched the cabelas card years ago. Most other cards you can use your points to pay your bill…so you aren’t handcuffed to crappy cabelas/bass pro to use your points.

Ordered two separate pair of Muck boots from Walmart a few weeks back. Got them both within a few days…

Many places to get different things other than the traditional outdoor stores..

Scheels has had Mucks on sale for over a month. Anyone thinking of a Scheels card. Wait till you have a larger purchase. Can get up to $100 off. Also think they still offer additional warranty on electronic charged on their card. I had Cabelas card since they came out. One of the last times I was there. They didn’t have Trilene xl 10# any color, Cabelas/New Balance exclusive hiking boots and most everything I was looking for. And I wasn’t going to give $8.50 for Shad Raps. Let my wife burn points on a new coat. Cabelas is becoming “Camo Kohls”. Tons of import clothing, fishing and hunting departments keep shrinking.

I’ve been treated very well by Scheel’s on pricing, returns, shipping, availability, and some other factors while using their card. They truly give the VIP treatment to cardholders. I only wish they would ship powder and primers. They chose the perfect time to step up while Bass Pro/Cabela’s are self destructing. Hopefully they continue with the great service.

Spent my $300 retirement gift card to Cabelas on raingear that hopefully will hold up. Sister and brother in law have them – use them all the time in Canada, Wyoming, Montana, Dakotas and love them. -Guidewear bibs to match my jacket.
Nothing else there I needed that was worth what I wanted to buy ( “want vs.Need” – can always buy rods, and other stuff but I have enough fishing gear to keep me going for a while and “regular” clothes with a gift card?!?!?! no way!!)
I love my PAC boots from them that are 3 years old and ROCK – but bought 800 gram Thinsulate GuideGear rubber boots 3 years ago. $37.50 on clearance down from $90 something. LOVE THEM. Will be buying another pair when the time comes. Brand names don’t always equate to quality these days and Cabelas is become Camo Kohls as Stevenoak says in my opinion too.

I’d agree in my limited customer service experience with Scheels. I bought a pair of Muck Arctic Ice Pros for $129, a price I thought was good at the time. When a few weeks later they went on a different sale for $109 I contacted them. I think all it was was an e-mail explaining the situation and asking me if they’d give me the difference and they basically replied back and said “yep, you’ll see a statement credit soon.”

When they went on an even better sale for $99 I wasn’t sure if too much time had passed but figured I could at least try to see if they’d do that again and with no questions asked the credited me the difference again.

Crazy good customer service, at least in those two incidences.

That meme was great! Yes I do Scheels for just about anything the only reason I have the card is after many calls got it down to 13% interest although always pay monthly the Scheels card is very high interest. I’m still laughing about the MEME! All the Scheels boots I wanted were out of my size again refer to said MEME! hah

Memes are a viable 21st century coping mechanism. All one can do at times is try and laugh about it.

    Hope you find your boots.
