I live in Utah and have 2 Cabela’s within an hour drive. Was surprised to find out that there is no Bass Pro anywhere in the State.
I wonder who’s gonna make their outerwear. There’s no reason not to merge guidewear with the bass pro shops brand now. Less competition now hopefully it doesn’t mean less quality..

Bids are out and waiting for them to come in. Then BP will know who to leverage to get the best price.
Just because there was a merger doesn’t mean vast changes over night. There are contracts that both operations have with vendors that need to be honored. Also the pricing won’t increase right away. They will do the creep up towards the holidays and bombard everyone with new catalogs right before Christmas.
Thats my opinion anyway.

you trying to get this one locked down too?????? you seem to be on a role!!!!!!!!
Cabelas is clearing out their inventory of Lowe boats because of the Trackers that are loaded up and on their way up here. Looked like good deals. They will continue to carry the Ranger alum models.
Got my letter from Cabelas this weekend informing me that my Worlds Foremost Outfitter credit card had been bought out by Capital One.
Not Bashing but for the first time really seeing the change from the purchase.
I made my visit to the Cabelas Marine Parts and service desk in Richfield WI to pick up some boat winterizing stuff. I know I can get some stuff at auto parts store or online cheaper but the mechanic and the former sales guy I bought my rig there are good guys and I stop by to chat when I am there. Well, I noticed a few things in the boat area have changed like Trackers have replaced the Stratos. Only a couple alumacrafts (none of the big rigs – indoors anyway) there and not many Yamaha engines around. Talked to the marine parts guys there for what I wanted and they only had an oil filter and no longer are carrying parts (no plugs or oil/water separator filters). I thought it was because they are short from winterizing but they told me Bass pro is not allowing them to carry parts inventory anymore and particularly Yamaha will likely go away as negotiations are not going well. The same with Evinrude.
Told best option from now on is to find the stuff online.
Oh well. It was already getting harder to find reasons to go there when I have Fleet Farm nearby.
