Just got this email from Cabela’s. $1 shipping on all orders, no minimum. Not sure when it ends. Doesn’t say in the fine print.

Considering the fact that Cabela’s almost continuously offers free shipping on orders of $50 or more, this isn’t really a “deal” unless you’re planning to order a single item.

The thing that drives me up the wall is when they send me that coupon good for 10 bucks, but you can’t use it in combination with any other offer…like the free shipping offer that’s constantly in place which is worth about 10 bucks. Combine that with them dropping their veteran’s discount for online purchases and I shop there a LOT less than I used to.

I’m not sure how it happened but BPS has really dropped the ball on Cabelas. I’ve always been a proud Cabala’s purchaser due to their outstanding customer service…but somehow BPS has managed to screw that up. $1 shipping but expires in March huh? LOL

I’m just bitter cause I miss my old Cabala’s and had to vent!

There are some situations that the acquisition has worked for the better. I had $100 in cabelas gift cards and wanted to buy one of their roto moulded coolers. From cabelas even with “free shipping” they wanted to charge me $14 because of its large size. $14 isn’t a big deal, but I checked the BPS site and they had the same cooler and didn’t charge an additional shipping (Free) AND I could use my Cabelas gift cards.
My cooler arrived 3 days later.

Cabelas was my go-to store 5-10 years ago. Although I’ll still shop there for a few specialty things, it’s not a place I frequent. The amount of clothing and pseudo outdoor gear for the weekender/tourist is overwhelming.

I’ve started to hit up small local sporting goods businesses more and more. If they offer some valuable advice, a cup of coffee, or solely the convenience of proximity…the slightly higher prices are worth it. If you have an issue with a product it’s much easier to hold them accountable as well considering you are far more valuable to them as a customer than you and your entire family will be to corporate Cabelas

Big shake up at cabela’s, management leaving in droves and employee discounts eliminated. I think were looking at a gander mountain replacement.
Now that camping world vacated that spot to a new sub category. chased

That’s most likely the same reason I mentioned in my earlier comment relating to the item’s size. If that wagon is on the BPS site, order it there, I bet you don’t get charged that fee.
